One of the reasons that the amateur radio service exists is to provide public service for the community. OCAPA provides a number of ways to be involved in this activity. Over the years we’ve been of assistance in a number of local activities including tornado damage, floods, and the Murrah building bombing.
To help plan for these events we run weekly training nets, and support the statewide ARES programs. We also help to provide communications for the Oklahoma City Marathon. Take a look at these events, and we would love to have you join our efforts.
