OCAPA operates a number of repeaters in central Oklahoma. This page documents each of these repeaters and should be used to get your radio connected to one or more of these devices.
VHF/FM – 146.820 MHz – W5MEL
This repeater uses the common -600 kHz offset and requires a 151.4 Hz CTCSS tone. This system is on battery backup should it lose commercial power. The repeater is located 1 mile North of the State Capital.
VHF/FM – 147.210 MHz – W5MEL
This Yaesu Fusion repeater uses the common +600 kHz offset and requires a 141.3 Hz CTCSS tone when transmitting analog FM. This repeater is back on the air after being relocated to the Newcastle site.
UHF/FM – 443.275 MHz – W5MEL
This is a Yaesu Fusion repeater and has a +5 MHz offset, and requires a 141.3-Hz CTCSS tone when transmitting analog FM. This repearter is located at Baptist Integris. This system is on battery backup should it lose commercial power.
UHF/FM – 444.300 MHz – W5MEL
This is a Icom repeater and has a +5 MHz offset, and requires a 141.3-Hz CTCSS tone when transmitting analog FM. This repeater is located at the Newcastle site. The repeater is capable of D-Star but we are not planning on connecting it to the D-Star network because the SCARS Club has a D-Star repeater that is 9 miles East of Newcastle and has excellent coverage. Instead we plan on linking the Baptist Integris 443.275 repeater and the Newcastle 444.300 repeater using AllStar. Until then, it is available for analog use.
